End of June more than 20 EMMA industry partners came together at the Audio Design Head Quarter in Kronau to exchange information, to update their national and international event schedules and to discuss global joint Projects.
After Alex Klett gave a retrospective on recent EMMA events and activities, he introduced upcoming joint projects on Automechanika, Essen Motor Show, Asia Finals 2014 and Auto Messe Salzburg 2015.
Automechanika 2014 in Frankfurt and Essen Motor Show 2014, two leading European trade shows were more in the national focus of the industry meeting. A joint “CarMediaWorld” exhibition stand will inform visitors about the advantages of car infotainment retrofitting.
Much more on the international spotlight is the establishment of Salzburg´s Auto Messe as a fixed venue in EMMA’s annual event schedule as a combination of Car Media Trade Show, Eurofinals and Head Judge Training. The idea to implement this perfectly located and dated Automotive Trade Fair as THE annual hotspot for the international car media industry received unanimously positive response. All attendants of the Industry Meeting in Kronau agreed in using “CarMediaWorld” as the all over official title of the Salzburg event. The EMMA Eurofinals as well as the Head Judge Training will be two possible components of the occasion.
Activities around the Salzburg CarMediaWorld will include a separate homepage including all information around its exhibitors, the show program etc. Preferred exhibition area would be hall 2/6 (as in the years before) – alternatively Hall 10 as well as the so called Salzburg Arena at the Salzburg fairground was discussed.
It is planned to use EMMA’s exhibition stand system for all exhibitors to ensure a clean appearance. Besides EMMA members there will also be exhibition space available for non-EMMA-members at a higher Price. It is also planned to offer smaller exhibition stands for small businesses. Also the limit of noise inside the Hall will be a important issue and all exhibitors will sign an agreement to limit the loundness of Demo vehicles. And, of course, there will again be a Saturday night party!
Against the background of recent plans and current developments EMMA is considering to give the EMMA CarMediaWorld event division a new name. Industry and affiliates will be kept up to date and informed about the considerations.
As one topic on this year’s event schedule the Asian Finals also were focused. The industry partners were informed about timetables, organizational matters and further details. The next EMMA Industry Forum will be on Dec. 1 in Bangkok
